King mattress sale: one slab or two Twin XL
King sale week is Bear $799 through Nectar $899, or Split King as two Twin XL cartons that still fit a $1,000 ceiling.
August 4, 2025 · Priya Shah

A king mattress sale should still sell a King: 76 by 80 inches, a price on the King variant, a carton two people can actually rotate on a landing. Haven’s Labor Day warehouse sale in this first week of September 2026 does not invent a $499 King. It crosses list prices that are about 20 percent above sell, rounded up to the next fifty dollars. Bear Original King is $799, listing near $1,000. Tuft & Needle Original King is $825. Cocoon Chill by Sealy King is $849. Nectar Classic King is $899. GhostBed Classic King is $945. Those are the sale Kings under a thousand dollars with names attached. Leesa Original King $1,199 and Casper The One King $1,319 are on sale in the same honest sense — crossed lists, not carnival markdowns.
This page is transactional on purpose. You came to buy a King while a holiday badge is up. You will leave with either one slab or two Twin XL mattresses that make a Split King. A coil spring hybrid on sale is a different carry and a different climate than boxed foam. A mattress that never goes in a box — Saatva Classic — is white-glove money (Queen $1,839; King higher). Demo store. Card price is cart price. The page should show King price on a phone when King is selected, not a Queen leftover from the last filter.
Sale math at King width
List equals sell times 1.2, then round up to $50. Bear King $799 becomes $1,000 list. T&N King $825 becomes $1,000 list. Cocoon King $849 becomes $1,050 list. Nectar King $899 becomes $1,100 list. GhostBed King $945 becomes $1,150 list. Leesa King $1,199 becomes $1,450 list. Casper King $1,319 becomes $1,600 list. That is 17 to 20 percent off our list, not 70 percent off a fantasy MSRP. The sale flyer is a door into inventory we already ticketed in August. Jordan does not restuff coils because the calendar said September.
Clearance is leftover named SKUs. If a King is there, it is still that SKU with that trial. We will not relabel a Queen as a King for Labor Day. We will not put a Twin in a wide crop and caption it King. Twin is 38 by 75. Twin XL is 38 by 80. Queen is 60 by 80. King is 76 by 80. Sixteen inches of width versus Queen is the entire reason you are on this page. A sale does not change the tape.
Split King is the other Labor Day buy
Split King is two Twin XL mattresses, 38 by 80 each, parked as 76 by 80. Sale math applies to each Twin XL separately. Bear Twin XL $499 times two is $998. T&N Twin XL $425 times two is $850. Cocoon Twin XL $449 times two is $898. Those totals compete with a one-slab King and often win on stairs. Independent firmness. Two law tags. Two trials. A gap in the middle you can hate, sheet over, or ignore.
Coil-curious shoppers: Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid is $999 in Queen; King costs more — open the product and read the King chip. Purple Restore Hybrid Queen is $1,799, a grid over pocketed coils, 365-night trial, not a cheap King sale. Foam sale Kings are the $799–$945 set. Do not expect Saatva’s dual-coil unit in a vacuum bag at Bear money. Coils that never compress ride a van as furniture. Priya books that as white-glove, not as a porch drop.
| Setup | What you buy | Sale-week sell | Stairs | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bear King slab | One King | $799 | Harder boxed carry | 120 nights |
| T&N King slab | One King | $825 | Two people | 100 nights |
| Cocoon King slab | One King | $849 | Two people | 100 nights |
| Nectar King slab | One King | $899 | Heavier 12-inch foam | 365 nights |
| GhostBed King slab | One King | $945 | Two people | 101 nights |
| Two T&N Twin XL | Split King | $850 | Two smaller cartons | 100 nights each |
| Two Cocoon Twin XL | Split King | $898 | Two smaller cartons | 100 nights each |
| Two Bear Twin XL | Split King | $998 | Still under $1,000 | 120 nights each |
Filter King or under $1,000 and then confirm the size chip. The size guide is the 76-inch tape on the bedroom floor before you love a badge.
Coils, foam, and what “on sale” does not change
A sale does not add a coil spring unit to Bear Original. Foam Kings isolate motion and sleep warmer. Pocketed coils sit, bounce, and move air up through the comfort layers. If you want coil-sale energy at King width, budget past the cheap foam aisle or stay Queen on Sealy $999 if the extra 16 inches is optional. Compare construction columns, not badge color. Hybrid shoppers can start at hybrids and ignore any King photo that is clearly a Queen room.
Foam still outgasses. A King is more foam than a Queen. Vent the room. Uncompressed Saatva smells like a new quilt, not a chemistry lab, because it never went through a vacuum. That is a price and a logistics choice, not a Labor Day coupon.
Slats more than 3 inches apart void foam and hybrid warranties. A King needs a center beam to the floor. The Haven White Oak Platform in King is $549, 2.5-inch slats, 1,200-pound rating with the center rail. That frame is on the sale floor too. Split King needs a split-capable base — a single King slab on oak is not automatically two Twin XL wells. Ask contact before you assume. A King waterproof protector is $89 in bedding; split wants two Twin XL protectors at $64 each. Stains void trials. Trials run 100 to 365 nights on sale week the same as they did in June. Sleep trial and returns do not pause for a holiday.
Delivery: boxed foam Kings, two humans, knees bent, no hero moves on the landing. Loft 24 to 72 hours. Saatva uncompressed: appointment window, stair measured, old mattress out if you booked haul-away. Priya will still ask about the turn. A sale rush is how people skip the measurement and return a King that never cleared the banister.
Who the King sale is for this week
Two people who already lost the Queen argument and have 76 inches of wall. A solo sleeper who starfish and will pay for it. A walk-up that can take two Twin XL cartons but not one King box. A couple who want different firmness and are willing to look at a split gap for the rest of the marriage.
It is not for someone hunting $399 King. It is not for a room that cannot walk around a King. It is not for a plus-size pair stretching Bear foam because the badge is red — look at heavier hybrids in all mattresses or talk to Sam via the quiz. It is not for a hot sleeper who already failed three foams; Purple’s grid is the cooling endgame, and it is not $799.
If Queen still has unused mattress on both sides at 3 a.m., stay Queen. Queen starts at Bear $599 and will thank the dresser. A King sale is a poor reason to buy width you do not use.
Sheets and protectors are sale-week afterthoughts that become week-two fights. A King slab takes King sheets. Split King takes two Twin XL fitted sheets or a king fitted that you wrestle over a seam. Protector King is $89; two Twin XL protectors are $64 each. Put them in the cart while the badge is up so you are not sleeping on bare foam while a package is two days out. Trials void on stains whether or not you “meant to order the cover later.”
Coil shoppers during a foam sale: Sealy’s Posturepedic Hybrid is the named lumbar hybrid at $999 Queen. If you need King coils, open that product and read King — it will not be $799. Purple Restore Hybrid is pocketed coils under a gel grid, Queen $1,799, 365 nights. Saatva Classic is dual-coil, never boxed, Queen $1,839. A Labor Day foam King will not become those constructions because a flyer was red. Buy coils if you sit on the edge, sleep hot after failed foam, or want bounce. Buy Bear or T&N King if you want the lowest honest King ticket and you already like firmer foam.
The warehouse this week is the same warehouse. Jordan still counts slats. Priya still books two people for Queen and up. Sam still says no to a $399 King that does not exist. The sale is a crossed list, a door at /sale, and a reminder to match size to the stair before the holiday weekend trucks fill up.
Check out a King — or two Twin XLs — this week
Open sale. Pick slab or split from the table using the stair as the tie-breaker. Match feel with the quiz if two people disagree. Add the oak King or a split base if slats fail the three-inch test. Add protector or two. How to order is still match, size, cart, dock date. Financing only with written demo APR. FAQ, reviews, about if you want the warehouse story.
No fake 70 percent. No Twin photo in a King caption. A king mattress sale here is crossed 20-percent-ish lists on Bear, T&N, Cocoon, Nectar, GhostBed, Casper, Leesa, and the Twin XL pairs that climb stairs. Put the right variant in the cart. Let Jordan’s dock load the carton that actually matches the order.
